Diesel Progress North American Edition, Jan, 2003
The Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) will hold its 2003 Spring Convention March 22-24 in Miami Beach, Fla. The event follows a format filled with educational sessions and seminars, as well as networking opportunities, committee work and recreational activities.
"Each year, the association's Spring Convention offers EGSA members an exceptional opportunity to meet new faces in our industry, make new contacts and cultivate business relationships," said EGSA Executive Director Jalane Kellough. "EGSA's conventions and conferences always feature leading speakers and informative sessions and the upcoming 2003 Spring Convention will be no exception.
"Everyone is really excited about the upcoming convention," Kellough continued. "We'll also be launching a Manufacturer's Forum, which is our new 'mini trade show"
EGSA recently sent out advance registration information for the spring convention. Those individuals who register by January 22 will enjoy EGSA's discounted rates, including a discounted room rate starting at $180 per night, single or double, at the Fontainebleau Hotel. After January 22, all rooms revert to the hotel and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to the numerous educational sessions and networking events, the 2003 Spring Convention program will also include a reception for first-timers, new members and guests, committee meetings, a president's reception and a closing banquet.
"There's a strong feeling that the market is beginning to stir again, and the forum is a great opportunity to get ahead of the competition. And with our early bird special, attendees have the opportunity to get great discounts on their convention registrations and hotel rooms. We'd like to urge everyone to register by January 22 for this event and save," Kellough said.
To register, call EGSA headquarters at (561) 750-5575 or visit www.egsa.org. *
