Chrysler Corp. said it would offer a diesel-powered Jeep Liberty SUV in the North American market in model year 2004. DaimlerChrysler will supply 5000 Jeep Liberty SUVs incorporating a 2.8 L diesel. Depending on the reception to that initial offering, more diesel-powered vehicles might follow, he said.
