Rotary shaft torque sensors - Test Equipment 2002 - from RS Technologies - Brief Article - Product Announcement
Diesel Progress North American Edition, Feb, 2002
RS Technologies, a manufacturer of force and torque measuring equipment, has introduced a new line of rotary shaft torque sensors designed for low-capacity, high-speed and low-torque measuring applications.
The sensors, designated STS2220, are available in capacities from 1.0 to 10.0 Nm and feature a one-piece outer housing, prelubricated bearings and accept either a.c. or d.c. excitation voltage for compatibility to most readout instruments.
Specifications of the STS2220 sensors include 1.5 mV/V nominal output at rated capacity, bridge resistance of 350 Ohms, maximum speed of 10,000 rpm, maximum excitation voltage of 20 Vd.c. or a.c. rms, along with 75 to 175[degrees]F compensated range and zero to 200[degrees]F useable temperature range.
