Vogel to succeed Kemnitz at MTU Detroit Diesel

Ulrich Kemnitz, who has been chief executive at MTU Detroit Diesel Inc. since 2006, has been named the new chief executive of Tognum Group subsidiary MDE Augsburg as of May 1. He will replace the present MDE chief executives Dirk Naujokat and Klaus Deleroi.

MDE Dezentrale Energiesysteme GmbH supplies localized gaseous-fueled engine energy systems and complete combined heat and power modules.
Kemnitz's replacement at MTU Detroit Diesel will be Matthias Vogel, who most recently served as MTU's head of industrial sales for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America. Prior to that, Vogel led the company's rail sales department from 2003 to 2006 and he also served eight years in sales and production with with Siemens AG, which included a stint in the U.S.
