Poppet Valves
Diesel Progress North American Edition, April, 2001
Lexair Inc. has expanded its 2- and 3-way poppet valve product line by adding new stainless steel 3/4 in. and 1 in. two-way normally closed poppet valves. Designed for air, oil, water and vacuum pressure applications with highly corrosive or ultra-pure liquid systems, the valves feature a large resilient poppet that provides bubble-tight closure, even under low-pressure conditions, the company said.
The direct pilot-operated valves are designed for use where quick positive control is required from a low pilot signal. They are rated 500 psi, air-oil-water, but with modifications can be rated at 1000 psi, oil or water, according to the company.
