National Equipment Services, Inc., a specialty and general

equipment rental company to the industrial and construction markets,

announced that it has completed three acquisitions and signed a definitive

agreement to acquire another company. The acquisitions were Mayer-Hammant,

Inc.; Wellesley Crane Service, Inc.; Barricade and Light Rental, Inc.; and

the definitive agreement was signed with The Mike Madrid Co., Inc. The

transactions raise NES' total locations to 118 throughout 28 states and add

approximately $37 million in revenues, based on 1998 results.
