Rubber Industries has introduced Protofastparts.com, a new service for design firms, OEMs and engineers needing prototype custom rubber parts for accelerated time-to-market projects. Through the site, engineers can evaluate and test various rubber formulations simultaneously, using materials such as thermoset materials, silicones, fluoroelastomers, fluorosilicones and liquid silicone rubber. Once the appropriate material is selected and formulated, Rubber Industries said it will build a single cavity mold and produce 12 sample parts in 10 working days. Rubber Industries has complete rubber and silicone production facilities for further design work and to mold, assemble and package in any quantity required.
