Lear Corp - acquisition of Electric Motor Systems - Brief Article

Lear Corp. said it has signed a definitive purchase agreement

with Johnson Electric Holdings Ltd., to sell its Electric Motor Systems

(EMS) business for $310 million. Among other products, EMS manufactures

starter motors for small gasoline engines and had 1998 sales of $351

million.
