Cummins Inc. Power Generation Business

Cummins Inc. Power Generation Business announced that its Newage International division, Stamford, U.K., has formed a strategic partnership with generator manufacturer Avk/SEG of Germany. Under the agreement, Newage becomes the largest shareholder of AvK/SEG. Cummins said the combination Newage and AvK/SEG will offer a range of industrial alternators from 0.5 kvA to 30,000 kvA.
The Newage and AvK/SEG partnership is expected to have annual sales of approximately $340 million in 2001 and employ 2700 people worldwide.
