Donaldson Co - Alternatives - diesel oxidation catalyst - Brief Article

Donaldson Co. said that the U.S. EPA has approved Donaldson's Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOG) muffler and Spiracle crankcase ventilation filter (see June 2003 Diesel Progress). The DOC muffler and crankcase filter combination are designed to reduce diesel engine emissions by 25 to 50 percent from the tailpipes and engine crankcase vents of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and school buses.
The EPA approval will enable Donaldson to offer its system for retrofitting engine/vehicle combinations manufactured since 1991.
