Monaco Coach Corp. said it will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Oregon-based motor home manufacturer SMC Corp. The anticipated total transaction value, exclusive of expenses, is approximately $36 million. SMC, which manufactures upper-end motor homes under the Safari, Beaver and Harney Coach Works brand names, had combined revenue of $190.7 million in 2000.
The company operates manufacturing facilities in Harrisburg, Bend and Hines, Oregon, as well as a service facility in Tampa, Fla.
