Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co the 50-50 joint venture operation of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. and Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. said it will begin construction crane rental operations in China centered primarily in Shenzhen an Guangzhou. The two companies said demand for construction-use crawler cranes in China is almost 100 cranes year.
That number, according to the companies, is likely to double due to high level of construction activity in cities, along with other large projects in China.
