Diesel Progress North American Edition, August, 2003 by Mike Mercer

Scania said it recently sold 44 buses for Canberra, the capital city of Australia. The buses were sold to the Action Co. which operates the capital's bus services. Scaina also sold 170 buses to Transport South Australia, for operation in the city of Adelaide. The vehicles will be delivered to Adelaide over the next five years as part of the city's strategy of reinforcing its public transport system.

Of the 170 buses, 42 will be 18 meter articulated models and 128 will be gas-powered. The Canberra buses and 128 of those for Adelaide will be built on the L94UB 4x2 low-floor chassis, and will have bodies assembled by the Australian Bus Manufacturing Co. (ABMC). The 42 articulated models for Adelaide will be built on Scania's low-entry chassis and will also be bodied by ABMC.
