TRW Systems, Bellevue, Neb., is being awarded a $14,753,277 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for the Air Force weather weapon system. This includes systems engineering, systems management, program management, system sustainment, and transition. At this time, no funds have been obligated. The scheduled contract delivery date is September 2002, and is extended via options through September 2007.
There were 54 firms solicited in May 2001, and three proposals were received. Negotiations were completed in February 2002. The 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity (F25600-02-D-0004).
