Executive Software International has announced the release of Undelete SA, developed specifically for OEMs and customers using Windows Powered server appliances. For years, various independent research studies have documented the fact that company records and database files are accidentally deleted every day. The New York Times reported that although nearly every computer has antivirus software, few computers have protection to recover deleted files and that U.S. businesses could be losing up to $15 billion each year due to accidental deletions and data loss caused by human error. Comparing this to the estimated $500 million annual loss due to computer viruses, computer users accidentally deleting files is by far a bigger threat and financial loss to the enterprise.
