American Institutes for Research - Government Activity - Brief Article

American Institutes for Research, Washington, D.C., is being awarded a $20,807,788 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the development of an Advanced Intrusion Prevention System (AIPS). AIPS employs technologies in new ways to identify individuals engaging in activities within and across computer networks with the intent of stealing secrets or inflicting damage.
Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under the command's broad agency announcement, with one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-01-C-0062).
