TRW Inc., Tactical Systems, Carson, Calif., was awarded on May 17, 2001, an $891,140 delivery order amount as part of a not-to-exceed $50,000,000 delivery order/time and material delivery orders (for system technical services) and firm-fixed-price delivery orders (for production hardware/software/services) contract.
The effort includes electronic system technical support requirements for the M109A6 Paladin self-propelled howitzer and M992 field artillery ammunition supply vehicles. Work will be performed in Carson, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 5, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on Nov. 9, 2000, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-01-D-1003).
