Web Authoring Tool Named One Of CNET.com's Top 10 Technology Products Of The Decade

Adobe Systems Inc. has shipped more than one million units of its PageMill software in the first-half of 1999, affirming the company's position as a Web authoring tool leader. Ranked by International Data Corp. (IDC) as the number one Macintosh and number two Windows marketshare leader in Web authoring and design software, PageMill is part of Adobe's popular family of products for Web authoring, including GoLive 4.0, Acrobat 4.0, ImageStyler, ImageReady, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.

"With the recent acquisition of GoLive and PageMill's continued Macintosh platform leadership in the Web authoring software market, Adobe has jumped into a high-speed Internet rocket and is poised to continue building momentum in both the high-end and business user Web authoring segments," says Joan-Carol Brigham, IDC research manager of Internet and ecommerce strategies.

Earlier this month, CNET.com named Adobe PageMill as one of the "Top 10 Technology Products of the 1990s," citing it as a product that changed the face of the Internet as the first consumer Web creation and management tool that allows consumers to build Web pages without knowing HTML. PageMill 3.0 allows users to easily build Web pages, add images and sounds, and maintain an entire site.
