Wakesoft launches new Architecture Platform for delivering services-oriented systems today - Waksesoft Architecture Platform 4.0 - Brief Article

EDP Weekly's IT Monitor, July 28, 2003

Wakesoft has announced the immediate availability of the Wakesoft Architecture Platform, Version 4. The new Wakesoft Architecture Platform, which broadens the company's flagship Wakesoft Architecture Server product, provides IT organizations with a software architecture solution for delivering well-structured, services-oriented systems and enabling the real-time monitoring and management of those systems in production. With this release, the Wakesoft Architecture Platform allows project teams to mitigate the risk of delivering Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) projects while ensuring greater services orientation, visibility and control aligned with strategic architectural goals.

"While Service Oriented Architecture initiatives are beginning to take hold in enterprises today, project teams still have to meet short-term delivery requirements," said Jason Bloomberg, senior analyst at ZapThink. "The Wakesoft Architecture Platform provides a structure that enables project teams to deliver SOA-ready systems in phases, delivering positive ROI at every step--a key differentiator in this market."

The Wakesoft Architecture Platform includes a new version of the Wakesoft Architecture Server and adds three new components that in combination enable customers to mitigate risk of J2EE project delivery, while preparing for their larger SOA strategic initiatives. Additionally, Wakesoft is delivering a greater level of visibility and control over those production systems so that IT can deliver a higher quality result to the business.

The Wakesoft Architecture Platform is now available on the IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic platforms. Pricing for the Wakesoft Architecture Platform is $35,000 per CPU and $4,995 per developer seat, which includes online training, development support and development license.
