INTERNET RETAILER BUY.COM LAUNCHES CUSTOM WEB STORE FOR COMPAQ PCs, ACCESSORIES

Buy.Com, a leading Internet retailer and e-commerce portal site, says it has just been authorized by big PC maker Compaq Computer Corp. to offer a full spectrum of Compaq consumer computer products and services on the Buy.com commerce site.

Compaq solutions will also be featured extensively on the Buy.com homepage with a Compaq custom theme store (www.buycompaq.com) to offer customers a direct way to make their purchases.

Compaq products featured on the Buy.com site will include Presario desktop computers, Presario notebooks, monitors and printers.The custom Compaq store will also feature special Compaq offerings, rebates and service options.

Buy.com says it was selected for Compaq's Authorized Internet Program based on a number of key terms that qualified the company such as ongoing customer support, direct marketing commitments, detailed product specifications and enhanced technical support policy.
