Pinnacle Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCLE), has announced that Discovery.com purchased two StreamGenie live webcasting production systems. The equipment will be used to stream live audio and video from events on the Discovery.com website (www.discovery.com). Discovery.com is a trusted destination on the Internet that empowers audiences to discover something new every day, offering rich, useful content and commerce opportunities in seven distinct categories: Discoveries, Animals, Health, Travel, Lifestyles, School and Kids.

Pinnacle Systems' StreamGenie is a portable Webcasting solution for live streaming over the Internet. It supports multiple camera switching, simultaneous output for the Internet and video archiving, integrated professional titling, graphics, 3-D video effects, pro-audio and built-in network I/O. StreamGenie manages up to six independent live camera inputs and 10 microphones, and includes broadcast-quality 3-D effects and titling, together with professional quality audio, all in real time. StreamGenie also features the exclusive CastConnect(SM) interface that allows users to register, schedule, perform, monitor and archive Webcasts to as many as one million viewers.
