Thermal Wave Imaging, Inc., Ferndale, Mich., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program under Topic N97-030 entitled "In-Field Composite Damage Assessment." The contractor will provide services and materials for engineering tasks including research and development, prototype development and fabrication, demonstration and validation, product development services, product application studies and modeling, fabrication and production of hardware, software design, software development and fabrication, retrofitting developed products into existing air and sea-based platforms and in-service engineering pertaining to non-destructive inspection thermographic systems technology.
Work will be performed in Ferndale, Mich., and is to be completed by September 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $10,184 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using SBIR Program, with 15 offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J. is the contracting activity (N68335-02-D-0033).
