Toshiba announces lightest satellite notebook to retail and small and medium-size businesses - Satellite M30/35 Series

Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD) has announced the availability of the Satellite M30/35 Series of notebook PCs which are the company's lightest Satellite notebook PC offerings to date. These products are designed for consumers and small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers demanding a stylish and lightweight mainstream notebook that delivers advanced productivity features and wireless connectivity. They are also Toshiba's first products to include Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 digital note-taking program which will be pre-installed on all Toshiba notebook and tablet PCs moving forward.
Packaged in a sleek silver chassis and weighing just over six pounds, the Satellite M30/35 Series features a vivid 15.4" diagonal wide-screen display and Intel Centrino mobile technology creating a unique blend of mobility and wireless (Wi-Fi 802.11b) connectivity. Designed for the professional user or "prosumer" customer, the Satellite M30/35 Series delivers the power and performance to handle business applications at the office as well as multimedia capabilities for leisure activities such as playing DVDs or recording CDs at home.

The Satellite M30-S309 Series features OneNote 2003 and optional Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 software for added effectiveness in completing business tasks such as data management, spreadsheets and presentations. OneNote 2003 provides business users the flexibility of a traditional paper notebook while allowing them to easily capture, organize, share and use their notes more effectively. With all of their notes in one place, users can be more productive anywhere they work whether in meetings, presentations, brainstorming sessions or at their desk.
A complete mobile tool for the SMB environment, the Satellite M30-S309 features a 15.4" diagonal wide-screen display that is ideal for small-group multimedia presentations whether in the office or on the road.

The Satellite M30/35 Series offers a rich multimedia feature-set ideal for the home environment. Combined with a bright 15.4" diagonal wide-screen display, harman/kardon stereo speakers and the NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 graphics processing unit, Satellite M30/35 Series customers experience breakthrough 3D imagery and stereo sound to enhance any movie viewing and gaming experience. A built-in Secure Digital (SD) expansion slot and i.Link (IEEE 1394) port are also included for the convenient transfer of digital images and video content.
The Toshiba Satellite M35-S359 is available direct via www.shoptoshiba.com and through Toshiba's retail distribution channels including computer superstores and consumer electronic stores. The estimated single user price (ESUP) of the unit is $1,699. The Toshiba Satellite M30-S309 is available direct via www.shoptoshiba.com and through Toshiba's traditional distribution channels, mail order partners or through Toshiba enterprise sales team and authorized distributors or dealers.
