Paras Gupta was named President and CEO of @Manage, a Sunnyvale, Calif., application service provider (ASP). Gupta was co-founder and CEO of Unify Consulting Group Inc. Prior to UCG, he was with Exodus Communications as a senior systems analyst.

Daniel Ferranti was named CEO and President of Majesco Software Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif. Prior to joining Majesco, Ferranti was senior vice president for an AT&T subsidiary, vice president for Perot Systems and executive vice president for Network Management Inc. Majesco provides software services for implementation, integration, maintenance and development of business applications using client/server and Internet technologies.

VA Linux Systems, a Sunnyvale, Calif., provider of Linux-based solutions, is expanding its Professional Services Division, adding Jeremy Allison as Senior Professional Services Engineer. Also joining VA Linux Professional Services is Marty Larsen as Director of the division, and Paul Papageorge as Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Allison has worked on Samba, an open source Windows-compatible file and print server for UNIX systems, since its development began in 1993. Larsen joins VA Linux from Intel IOS (Internet Online Services). Papageorge comes to VA from USWeb/CKS, where he was vice president of European operations.

MainControl Inc., a McLean, Va., provider of enterprise-wide e- infrastructure management solutions, appointed John Griffin Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa. Griffin comes from Centura Software where he led sales operations for Europe and Northern Africa. He also spent 10 years as managing director of BMC Software Ltd.

San Mateo, Calif.-based POET Software promoted David Guinther, former director of sales, to Vice President of Sales. Guinther joined POET in March 1997 as district manager of Northern California. POET provides data management software for the Internet.

Kingston Technology of Fountain Valley, Calif., promoted Mark Pringle to Vice President of Domestic Sales. Pringle joined Kingston in August of 1995 as an account manager. Kingston makes memory, storage, networking and PC enhancement products.

Burlington, Mass.-based PurchasingCenter.com, a business-to-business portal for the industrial supplies marketplace, appointed William Sullivan Vice President of Industry Marketing. Most recently Sullivan was VP of Integrated Supply at W.W. Granger.

The Atlanta-based Headhunter.net staffing firm appointed Craig Stamm Vice President of Business Development. Stamm was most recently a director of the Leveraged Finance Group at SG Cowen.

Devise Associates Inc. named Robert Russotti Executive Vice President of Marketing. Russotti previously marketed consumer and scientific products with Olympus. Devise Associates is a computer systems and network integrator with headquarters in New York City.

TeleTech Holdings Inc., a Denver, Colo., provider of e-commerce-enabled customer management solutions, appointed Michael Foss Chief Financial Officer and President of TeleTech Companies Group. The group consists of TeleTech's technology-oriented subsidiaries and strategic alliances. Foss was formerly CEO of PictureVision Inc.

AdKnowledge of Palo Alto, Calif., last week announced three executive appointments: Jim Alla was named the company's new Vice President of Sales; Paul Ruck is the new Eastern Region Sales Director; and Leslie Moss is the new Eastern Region Director of Client Services. Alla has led the company's Eastern region for the past year. Ruck has been an AdKnowledge regional sales manager for the past year. Most recently, Moss worked for Marketing Resources Plus. AdKnowledge provides Web marketing management services to advertising buyers.

Net2000, a Herndon, Va., provider of business telecom services, appointed Lee Weiner Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Weiner was formerly acting general counsel at Qwest Communications International.
