Sybase Licenses Security Technology From Certicom - Company Business and Marketing - Brief Article

> Sybase Inc. has just licensed security software from Certicom Corp., a Hayward, Calif., provider of encryption technology. The two firms say they will announce more details of the relationship in conjunction with future Sybase product announcements. Rick Dalmazzi, president of Certicom, says the partnership represents "an important endorsement of Certicom's advanced security technology and makes Sybase a key partner in building our business in the enterprise computing marketplace." Computing and communications companies such as 3Com/Palm Computing, BellSouth Wireless Data, Motorola, Pitney Bowes and VeriFone, incorporate Certicom's technology into electronic commerce software, wireless messaging applications, and smart cards.
