Colorado Springs School District Buys Over 8,000 Intergraph TD-260 Wintel PCs

Intergraph Computer Systems of Huntsville, Ala., has landed a $9 million contract to provide Colorado Springs School District 11 with 8,199 of the company's Intel/Windows 95-based TD-260 computers. The award includes hardware, management software, onsite consulting, and service and support for five years.
Intergraph's TD-260 PCs are Year 2000 compliant. The contract also includes a five-year warranty, installation services, and asset tagging services for tracking and inventory purposes. When the implementation is complete, District 11 will have lowered the computer-to- student ratio to one computer for every five students. Intergraph competed against Apple, Dell, Compaq, and HP to win the contract.
