Sabre named William Hannigan President and CEO. Hannigan, formerly president of SBC Global Markets, is a 20-year technology services veteran. Sabre operates the world's largest computer- based travel reservations system.
AdKnowledge of Palo Alto, Calif., appointed John Mracek President. Mracek joined AdKnowledge in 1996 as vice president of Marketing. Prior to that, he was senior director of System Software Marketing at Apple Computer. AdKnowledge is a provider of Web marketing management services.
Centric Software Inc., the San Jose, Calif., developer of Collaborative Virtual Product Development (CVPD) supply chain engineering solutions, appointed Rajneesh Chopra Vice President of Product Development. Prior to joining Centric, Chopra was director of research and architecture at SDRC.
Integrated circuit (IC) designer Synopsys of Mountain View, Calif., promoted Manoj Gandhi to Vice President and General Manager of its Simulation Technology Group. Gandhi, who will head a team developing Synopsys' next-generation simulation solutions, has held a number of engineering and management positions at Viewlogic Systems and Gateway Design Automation.
PRIMEDIA Inc. named current NBC Interactive executive Michael Jeffrey Vice President of New Media Development. PRIMEDIA of New York City is a targeted media company with a wide array of print, video and Internet businesses focused on consumer and business- to-business audiences.
Netscape Communications added three new executives to the Netscape Netcenter management team. Susan Mernit was appointed Vice President of Programming responsible for all content initiatives. Mernit most recently served as director of ParadeNet. Laurie Chesler was named Senior Director of General Programming. Chesler has experience in a variety of media including the Web, TV, short films/documentaries, publishing and advertising. Tom Brew was appointed Director of Daily Programming. He joins Netscape after four years as a senior news editor at MSNBC.com.
Intelligroup of Edison, N.J., promoted Tim Fenner, currently managing director of Intelligroup's CPI Consulting unit, to Managing Director for European Operations. Based in London, Fenner will oversee strategy, business development and service delivery for all Intelligroup operations throughout Europe. Intelligroup is an applications solutions provider.
Bigfoot Interactive, a New York-based marketing solutions provider, appointed William Mitchell Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Bigfoot, Mitchell was senior vice president and COO for the Atlantic Division of TCI's cable properties.
