Genesis Microchip a provider of digital display and video/graphics-processing integrated circuit products announced Amnon Fisher, formerly senior vice president and general manager of NeoMagic, as president and chief operating officer.

Amazon.com names Paul Misener, vice president of global public policy. Misener was formerly a partner with the Washington, DC law firm of Wiley, Rein & Fielding, where he was chairman of its Internet practice group.

John Foster is named as Paladyne Corp. chairman and CEO. Foster is formerly an AT&T executive and president and CEO of AT&T American Transtech, a marketing and computer services subsidiary of AT&T.

GlobalSpec.com announced the appointment of Peter Derow to the company's board of directors. Derow had served as chairman and president of Newsweek, a director of the Washington Post Co., president of CBS Publishing Group and senior vice president and director of CBS, Inc.

Richard Haverly has joined Greenwich Technology Partners as senior vice president for operations. Haverly is a former partner and 30-year veteran of Andersen Consulting.

Vernon Poyner has been named as chief operating officer of Call Sciences an international supplier of enhanced telecommunications services.

NetOptix Corp. has announced the appointment of Ralf Faber as president. The Sturbridge, MA company also announced that Gerhard R. Andlinger will continue as chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

Time Warner, Inc., has announced that James Barge has been appointed vice president and controller of Time Warner, Inc.

Arthur C. Burton has been named president of Fischer International Systems Corp. Burton was formerly vice president of sales and marketing at Fischer.

American Management Systems, has announced that Paul E Adams re- joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Business Ventures in the Consumer Financial Services Group.

Digital Fountain, has announced that Cliff Meltzer has joined the company as CEO and President. Meltzer joins Digital Fountain after seven years at Cisco Systems where he held several senior positions.

Former Novell Senior Executive Mary Burnside takes President and COO post at RealNames Corp. Burnside brings 18 years of Global Financial and Operations Management expertise to the company.

Ron Higgins, founder and former CEO and Chairman of Digital Island, assumes role of Chairman at oCen Communications.

Michael S. Willey named Senior Vice President and General Manager of SMT Systems Product Group.
