On June 18, 1947, Bob Harlow published the first issue of Golf World magazine, known by many in and around the game as the premier source for weekly updates on the sport they love. (Golf World and Golf Digest are Conde Nast Publications.) [paragraph] To no surprise, Jack Nicklaus has been on the cover more than anyone (98 times), followed by Tiger Woods (88), Gary Player (46), Lee Trevino (45), Tom Watson (44) and Phil Mickelson and Arnold Palmer, (42). Appearing on the first was Lew Worsham and Sam Snead. Below are some of our favorite covers.
