Where's your hot spot? Want to get the most out of your new driver? Hit it on the hot spot. Where's that? Think higher, not lower

The Sound of Power

Driver Avg./High

1. Adams Redline Ti 121.9/125 A high pitch at impact, but not
                                      sustained; a perfect insert for
any movie scene where you need a
                                      real good slap-in-the-face sound

2. Callaway 120.9/123 Another good movie slap sound,
Great Big Bertha II though not as high in pitch as
                                      the Adams. Interesting to hear
how the sound changes with where
                                      the ball hits the club.

3. Cleveland 120.4/123 A sustained, high-pitched ring.
Launcher 400 Gives me the visualization of my
                                      ball arching high into the
                                      stratosphere. Of course, with my
                                      swing, visualization can go only
                                      so far.

4. Wilson 119.8/122 Sort of a distorted, slightly
                                      muffled crack, like the sound
made when Clint Deep Red II
                                      Distance Eastwood took out his
                                      whip in "High Plains Drifter."

5. Cobra SS380 119.4/122 This one has the best sound. It
makes a dense, solid tone upon
impact, much like what you might
hear when guys like Sosa or Bonds
hit one out of the park.

6. TaylorMade R580 119.3/122 This sound reminds me of the old
                                      days, when a neighbor's parents
were told by the cops that their
son had just stolen another kid's
bike. We could hear that sound
                                      five doors down.

7. MacGregor 118.6/123 Has a tone very similar to the
V-Foil High Launch 410 Cleveland driver with a nice
ambient delay, but the ring is
                                      lower in pitch.

8. Titleist 983K 118.3/122 A nice, solid tone. It sounds as
though it has more density than
the other clubs. One of the best
                                      to listen to.
