U.S. Gains Curtis Cup Victory

Golf Digest, Jan, 1999

Heading into the 1998 Curtis Cup Match, the American side led Great Britain & Ireland, 20-6-3, in the biennial series, but had been only 1- 4-1 in the last six meetings. However, playing on home turf at the Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, the U.S. won, 10-8, with Kellee Booth (above) and Brenda Corrie Kuehn each helping win four points.

On the men's side, the 38th Walker Cup will be played Sept. 4 and 5 at the Nairn (Scotland) Golf Club.
