The story of Garland Dempsey's luck should remind us how new technology is bringing lifesaving techniques to us. Many golfers carry cell phones on the course. I've used mine only to contact the clubhouse when carts have broken down. What a reassurance it would be to know that in the case of sudden cardiac arrest, you could call someone trained to use an AED.
