The eyes have it

Golf Digest, March, 2004

January: The Quiet Eye, by Dr. Joan N. Vickers I'm a retired optometric physician after practicing for 51 years. I'm 85 years of age and in excellent health, and I have shot my age many times. Your article was fascinating. I have never been able to putt very well, but your technique works well on my bedroom rug, and I'm eager to test it on the course when the weather breaks.

Thanks a million for your wonderful research, and I'll split my winnings if I'm successful.

Dr. C.E. Stansberry, Clinton, Tenn.

I read the article several times and wondered if the same technique could be applied to other shots. I tried it on tee shots, picking out a very specific target. I tried it on approach shots, with the same uncanny accuracy. I tried it on chip shots--dead accurate. Oh, yeah, it worked on putts as well. You have put new excitement into my game. Thank you.

Lee Bultez, Oregon City, Ore.
