Datatel, a provider of advanced information management systems for higher education, has entered into an agreement with online admissions service provider Embark to ensure electronic compatibility between their products and streamline application processes for colleges and universities.
University admissions offices will now be able to use a plug-and-play solution to transfer student data gathered from Embark's online application and communication tools into Datatel's comprehensive information-management system, Colleague[R], used by more than 550 institutions nationwide. Embark extracts student application data in a custom download file specifically formatted for Datatel, which has a special utility that allows universities to upload the data files into the Colleague[R] system.
