DENVER -- A new exhibition and sale of fine antiques, art and vintage posters is slated for its premier presentation in Denver Nov. 1 to 3. The Antiques, Fine Art & Vintage Poster Show & Sale, presented by KDBI Public Television, the Junior League of Denver and John Morris' Antiquities Film and Movie Complex of Alameda and Cherokee, will open with a gala preview celebrating the Junior League's 80th Anniversary.
The new show brings 60 galleries from across the United States and abroad to the Mile-High City. The show will combine an exhibit of European and American furniture, textiles and antique decorative items with paintings and prints. Adding to the show's fine art component, will be European and American vintage art posters from the 19th and early-20th centuries.
Morris' Antiquities Shows has staged exhibitions in Seattle, New York, Santa Fe and Denver and launched a new Wine Country Antiques Show in Napa, Calif., last May. Louis Bixenman, the secretary of the International Vintage Poster Dealer's Association, produces major poster fairs in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
