Topic: RSS FeedAFC offers online marketing kit
Art Business News, Oct, 2003
As part of October's celebration of National Art & Framing Month, the Brentwood Calif.-based National Art & Framing Council (AFC) is offering retailers a special online marketing kit.
The kit provides art and frame store owners, franchisees and employees with several ideas on how to promote the month-long marketing event. It can also be used for promotions year round.
"National Art & Framing Month has always been a way to encourage consumers to begin holiday shopping early and to use professional art dealers and framers as a wonderful resource for holiday gifts,' said AFC executive director Kim Ahern.
Along with marketing ideas, the kit also includes a full-page advertisement for custom framing that features actress (and art and custom-framing supporter) Jane Seymour. The color ad can be printed and used as either a counter or window display.
Ahern said the AFC's relationship with Seymour during the past year has helped the organization broaden its efforts to educate consumers on the benefits or art and framing. "[She] believes strongly in arts education and encourages the industry to support the AFC," Ahem said.
According to Ahern the AFC's goal in providing the materials is to give retailers quick, easy and inexpensive ways to bring shoppers into their stores. "We believe we are bringing tremendous value to the art and framing community at this important time of the year" she said.
