Caspari named official "equestrian" artist

Art Business News,  Oct, 2004

ATHERTON, CA--The Menlo Charity Horse Show announced artist Robin Caspari as the Official Artist of this prestigious, equestrian event, featuring her painting, "Scoot'n Blues," as the 2004 theme. Her limited edition print highlighted the black-tie dinner and auction, with proceeds benefiting the Peninsula Center for the Blind in Palo Alto, CA, appearing on the cover of the Horse Show program, sponsor dinner cards, official entry book and the sponsor thank-you notes. The auction raised more than $110,000 of the total $500,000 from the charity show itself.

Caspari's work focuses on the mass, pure beauty and energy of the horse, and uses metallic and luminescent media to portray this in her painting. She describes her artistic expression of the horse as "a deeply personal and complete experience that is hill of power, emotion and passion."

An art exhibit of Caspari's work ran concurrently with the show at the Peabody Fine Art Gallery in Menlo Park, CA, and included a selection of her originals and limited edition prints. The exhibition will run through Oct. 22, and also includes her newest series, "Of Horses and Orchids."
