Philadelphia Museum of Art opens Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building

Art Business News, Nov, 2007

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Museum of Art recently held the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building, the museum's first expansion in 80 years.

The Perelmans, whose philanthropy made the expansion possible, attended the ceremony. "We love this building, this museum and this city," Raymond Perelman said at the ceremony. "It is deeply satisfying to help make a difference, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to make this day possible."

Thanks to a $500,000 donation from Wachovia Corporation, visitors to the Perelman Building will receive free admission for the remainder of 2007. For more information, call 215-763-8100; visit www.philamuseum.org.
