Hogue Signs James Hoyle, Updates Web Site

Art Business News, Nov, 2000

HONOLULU--Hogue Publishing Inc., the corporation created last March by the acquisition and merger of Hawaii-based Hogue Publishing GP (publisher of Al Hogue) and the Framery Inc., has added Hawaii-based artist James Hoyle to its roster. Hoyle will continue to work and live in Kaui and devote his full time to painting. Hogue Publishing will now handle all printing, publishing, distribution, sales and licensing activity for him.

This addition is part of the company's plan to significantly expand its business by publishing and marketing a portfolio of leading artists worldwide. "By doubling annual revenues in the last five years to a retail value in excess of $20 million, Hogue Publishing has demonstrated remarkable success in creating, marketing and selling the Al Hogue brand of art works. Now we believe it is time to apply these proven strategies on behalf of a carefully selected group of artists," said Terry Hogue, company president, c.e.o. and director.

The company has also updated its Web site www.hoguepublishing.com. According to company officials, the new site was redesigned to simplify navigation and facilitate access to the Hogue Publishing artists. The new site includes information on all company limited editions; PDF images available for downloading; information about company artists; a photo gallery section showing Al Hogue's recent tours; and a section about upcoming Hogue events.
