Artist lands a fruitful fundraiser

Art Business News, Dec, 2004

FREDERICK, MD -- The second annual fine art fundraiser event at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, now through Dec. 23, is once again featuring landscape artist Jeff Fioravanti. The event will benefit the museum's programs and operations, and includes original art, giclees and note cards with works depicting the historical lands, such as Antietam, Gettysburg, Monocacy and Manassas.

"In every stroke of Jeff's work, he paints a powerful yet sensitive homage to our nation's legacy," says George Wunderlich, director. "His works are breathtaking on their own merit; that they portray the hallowed ground of America makes them all the more inspiring."

The benefit exhibition will be available for viewing during normal museum hours.

"We were extremely pleased with the 2003 exhibition as it more than exceeded our expectations," adds Ann Lee, director of retail operations for the museum. "Now, with a year under our belt and knowing first-hand the quality of Jeff's work, plus his ever-increasing recognition in the world of art and historic preservation, we are extremely optimistic that this year's show will prove to be even more successful for the museum and its programs."
