Art Business News, Jan, 2004

CANOGA PARK, Calif. -- Collector's Editions, publisher of Disney Fine Art, is in the midst of a yearlong celebration to commemorate Mickey Mouse's 75th anniversary. The company is coordinating in-store events at selected fine art galleries across the United States, Europe and Japan, as well as releasing a series of new limited-edition paintings featuring the famous Mouse.

The first release came in November from Pop artist Allison Lefcort, who recently signed with Collector's Editions to publish her Disney portfolio. Her image, titled "Abracadabra," is a serigraph on canvas in an edition of 195.

The second piece, titled "Life is a Bowl of Cheese" by David Willardson, was released in December. It is a 75-piece deluxe edition serigraph on deckled paper featuring diamond dust and hand-applied gold foil.

Since 2002, Collector's Editions has been publishing Disney Fine Art, a portfolio of artist-inspired original and graphic prints featuring Disney characters. For more information, visit www.collectorseditions.com.
