Art Business News, Feb, 2001
ABERFORD, West Yorkshire--Red Brick Publishing has added several new artists to its program, including David Greenwood, Jonathan Shaw, Norman Bevan and Reem Nazir.
"2001 will see us introduce a lot of new inventory," said Michael Woodward. "We are confident that the U.K. gallery scene will gradually have a major new alternative publisher."
According to the company, Greenwood is a brilliant colorist whose "Whitby Scene" and "The Armouries," while essentially abstract, capture the spirit of each subject sensitively. "Leila," "Leila in Lace" and "Leila in Silk" by Jonathan Shaw are predicted by company officials to be big sellers, as will Bevan's "The Bourse, "which is an architectural study. Company officials also say the exotic still-lifes from Saudi Arabian artist Reem Nazir are another key addition.
In addition to the new work, further releases by company favorites Barry Hudson and Martin Jordan, as well as a special release of editions by wildlife artist John Seerey-Lester, will also be available.
