MWC International Launches Online Publishing Venture

Art Business News, Feb, 2001

LONDON--MWC-editions.com is a new online publishing program based on archives accumulated over the past 21 years from Michael Woodward Creations (now MWC International). According to company officials, the program allows buyers to choose a limited edition from home or office, then orders taken will be printed on demand, framed and dispatched in 14 to 21 days.

"I've made a great deal of money for other publishers over the last 20-odd years, and I thought it was time we set up our own publishing venture" said Michael Woodward, a veteran of the art licensing business.

Red Brick Publishing is one of the first companies to sign on to the program. All editions from the company will be limited to 850 or less, and in MWC-editions.com's first program, 50 new editions covering subjects as diverse as trains, cars, pets, horse racing, Impressionist landscapes and more will be launched.

"Having researched the digital technologies available, we have managed to produce a low-cost giclee at an incredibly low price. Another 50 prints are planned for the spring," said Woodward."The new editions will also include American cars, nostalgia, dolphins, landscapes, figurative and more."

By the end of 2001 company officials say MWC-editions.com will have more than 200 new prints in the range and will offer dealers the most competitive prices on the market.
