CHICAGO -- The eighth annual Chicago Antiques Fair will take place April 29 through May 2 on the eighth floor of the Merchandise Mart. The event will include approximately 100 of the world's leading dealers of antiques and fine art, including ceramics, folk art, glass, jewelry, prints, posters, sculptures, decorative arts and furniture. A preview party will kick off the fair on Thursday, April 28, which will benefit the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
"Each year the Chicago Antiques Fair attracts a wide variety of consumers ranging from seasoned collectors to first-time buyers" says loan Ulrich, vice president of leasing for Merchandise Mart Properties. "We received great feedback on the changes that we made at last year's show and we are continuing to build on that growth in 2005. We believe attendees will be impressed by the variety of antiques and collectibles on display from around the world, with unique items to add to any collection."
The event is considered to be a premier art and antiques fair in the Midwest, as well as one of the nation's top annual events. It has earned praise for the high quality and diversity of products, attracting several international dealers from several countries.
