Art site launched for trade buyers

Art Business News,  April, 2005

WILMINGTON, NC -- Corporate Canvas, LLC, a fine art publishing company, announced the launch of its Web site, www.corporatecanvas.com, featuring online art galleries of both emerging and established artists from around the world. Visitors, primarily design trade, can purchase originals and limited edition, high quality, fine art giclees using the site. It also includes detailed information on the originals, current pricing, edition sizes and descriptions of the works.

The Web site is designed for trade buyers and offers wholesale prices to art galleries, interior design firms, art specifiers, architectural firms, residential and commercial developers, furniture and specialty retailers. Custom stretching and flaming services are available as well.

"We recognize that there are plenty of art resources on the Internet," says Hap Willard, president and founder of Corporate Canvas. "We feel that we have created an art publishing company that is on the cutting edge. Very few art Web sites showcase the art the way we do, while specifically targeting the design trade."

The site offers a custom-designed search engine, called Art Finder, allowing the designer to find artworks based on specific criteria, such as size, price range, medium, dominant color, subject matter, and more. Some notable artists being introduced include Ivey Hayes, Charles Stewart, Mandy Johnson and Alan Kindler.
