Art Business News, April, 2005
BOLOGNA, Italy -- With 7,525 visitors, 2,841 of whom were foreigners, the 23rd edition of Quadrum/SACA, held Feb. 17-20 at the Bologna Exhibition Center, recorded a 2.5 percent increase on the foreign turnout figures over last year's event. The vast spectrum of products showcased at the exhibition guaranteed the most complete reference panorama for each "picture" product-processing phase. The merchandise categories were broken down into three specialized areas: Frames, Graphics and Technologies, and Accessories.
A fundamental element of the show, The Graphics section, brought together the best of international production in poster, reproduction and the print world. Ethnic and tribal styles; the diffusion of alternative graphic media to canvas; large format abstracts; subjects belonging to the museum category; and finishes achieved using computers, are just a few of the trends that attracted attention at this event.
Next year's Quadrum/SACA will take place Feb. 16-19 at the Bologna Exhibition Center. For more information, call 011 39 51 860002; visit www.quadrumsaca.com.
