Art Business News, May, 2002
* The Marc Chagall painting "Study for Over Vitebsk," stolen last year from the Jewish Museum in New York, has been found in a Kansas post office. The painting, which is believed to be worth $1 million, was discovered when the package containing it was declared undeliverable and was opened for identification.
Months ago, a group calling itself the International Committee for Art and Peace claimed responsibility for the theft and said the painting would be returned only after the Israelis and Palestinians made peace.
