Winn Devon signs Gilboa, expands role with Hall - news - Winn Devon Art Group expands publishing relationship with Richard Hall, signs Marina Gilboa - Brief Article

Art Business News, June, 2002

SEATTLE--Winn Devon Art Group has signed artist Marina Gilboa and expanded its publishing relationship with artist Richard Hall.

The Winn Devon Winter 2002 Poster Collection features 10 new posters showcasing Gilboa's collage works and photography. The artist has eclectic professional experience that includes figure skating, interior design, event and wedding coordination, fashion and window designing and work as a colorization consultant for the Walt Disney Company. Gilboa was also a member of the art and production design department for the Academy Award-nominated film The Grifters. At present, Gilboa is a partner and vice President of the company On a Shoestring, Inc. where she produces and creates all artwork.

When asked what she loves about art, Gilboa replied, "It reflects nature and lets one express themselves in unique mediums."

As part of another artist deal, the company has formed an exclusive publishing relationship with Hall for posters, limited editions and original artworks. Winn Devon currently offers a range of Hall's works in posters and limited editions.

Hill said he views himself as actually building a painting, as evidenced by the complex details, textures and layers that make up his mixed-media works. Said the artist, "As I build a painting or sculpture, it is often the actual working methods that I am most drawn to. As I learned to finish fine furniture with layer upon layer of polish and wax, so now I find myself working with layer upon layer of texture and color. This method of working triggers memories and feelings that I channel into my art, and it enables me to give form to my ideas."
