Helen Bulwikto lead Devon Publishing Group

NOVATO, Calif.--Devon Publishing Group (DPG), a graphic arts publishing company, has initiated a series of management changes. Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Helen Bulwik will assume responsibility for directing each division of DPG, including Portal Publications, Winn Devon and Canadian Art Prints (CAP). In addition, Portal founder Terence Flynn and CAP Chief Executive Officer Hal Krieger will assume new positions as vice chairmen of DPG.

Bulwik is a retail industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience with retailers such as Macy's and Federated Department Stores. She has served as chief executive officer for four consumer product manufacturers. As a senior executive for consulting firms, Accenture and IBM, she assisted more than 70 retailers and consumer products companies in the development and execution of initiatives for growth, revenue enhancement and the creation of a sustainable competitive advantage. Bulwik has worked with retail and consumer products companies worldwide and is a speaker who is frequently quoted in business publications and the news media.

Flynn and Portal celebrate their 50th anniversary this year. Flynn founded Portal in 1954, with his release and distribution of Spanish bullfighting posters in the United States. In addition, CAP celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. CAP opened for business in 1964,designing and selling native imagery. Krieger stepped in as general manager in 1972, at which time the company grew into a publisher of fine-art, open-edition prints.
