artDC hailed a must-see annual event

Art Business News,  June, 2007

CLEVELAND -- artDC featured a select group of 80 galleries from Europe, Asia and the Americas to showcase modern and contemporary art in all disciplines--including, painting, photography, sculpture, works on paper and video--and provided a dynamic cross-section of today's multi-dimensional art market, which established artDC as one of the must-see annual fairs.

artDC set itself apart from other small fairs by emphasizing special projects areas: SLICE, where visitors discovered the hottest trends in the art market by emerging artists; "Another Look: New Art from Shanghai," a curated exhibition of contemporary artists from Shanghai working in a variety of media including painting, photography, video and sculpture; and New Media installations. Space was also provided for large-scale sculptures, performance and a unique Video Lounge & Bar that featured video and internet art projects by regional artists participating in a local juried competition organized by artDC and Flashpoint. Many of the region's non-profit spaces and institutions were present in the fair as well, some with curated exhibitions.
